Week 6
Alex C:
This week was filled with a variety of new experiences. In the sales department, I was introduced to a new weekly CPFR process, which I will now be handling regularly alongside my initial assignments. Over in the marketing department, we organized our POP inventory and created space in the Spartanburg warehouse for our promotional items. I also gained insights into our social media accounts and how we manage our social media content.
Additionally, I was introduced to a new product management project focused on identifying interchangeable parts with minor flaws in our database. This task was particularly intriguing due to the vast number of components and the small but crucial errors that need to be corrected within our data.
Jack T: This effort was aimed at maintaining our fill rates around 95 percent. It also proves beneficial for Brian during the purchasing process, as having inventory on hand for interchangeable parts allows for substitutions when stock levels are sufficient. Additionally, reducing inventory helps alleviate the burden on the warehouse, making operations more efficient and streamlined.
